Feed mainly refers to the food of animals raised in agriculture or animal husbandry. Feed includes more than ten varieties of feed ingredients such as soybeans, soybean meal, corn, fish meal, amino acids, miscellaneous meals, additives, whey powder, fat, meat and bone meal, cereals, and sweet sorghum. Feed safety is an important part of animal food. In recent years, serious incidents related to feed safety have occurred in some parts of Europe, such as "mad cow disease", "two British" and other incidents, and feed safety has become a hot topic for the general public.
Common feed testing items:
1) Physical and chemical properties of feed: sensory (appearance and smell), particle size, moisture, ash, pH, mixing uniformity, crude fat, crude fiber, salt, crude protein, vitamins, trace element content, etc.
2) Feed safety test: water-soluble chloride, volatile basic nitrogen, cyanide, nitrite, melamine, heavy metal residue, pesticide residue, total number of colonies, number of coliform bacteria, number of molds, number of bacillus, etc.
